debugging and whitebox testing
Pls. tell me the diff. between debugging and whitebox testing..? are both are same or..
Re: debugging and whitebox testing
A philosophy question. Sometimes those are good before caffeine.
Maybe the end goal. Try this on for size.
Testing (not just whitebox) has as it's end goal a binary decision - did my code meet the specs?
Debugging has as it's end goal a non-binary output - what was the cause of this failure - which has an endless universe of possible answers.
Testing is (or should be) [somewhat] structured.
Debugging is a lot more unstructured.
Those are the initial thoughts that come to mind before my brain wakes up.
