generic test checklists
I'm new to testing so I'm sorry if this sounds absurd...
Does anyone out there have a generic checklist that can be applied to all testing activities (in addn. to other specific application/environment checklists).
Links, docs, advice - will be greatly appreciated.
I am aware of some checklists advocated by the Advanced Process Model (pressman), anything else out there?
Re: generic test checklists
You can draft checklists based on the Functional Requirements of the product. Also, getting a pre-qa release build would be beneficial when drafting these.
Checklists can be treated as high level(basic acceptance) tests. These can be carried out by development prior to releasing the product to QA. You could separate checklists specifcally for the developers before release and QA Acceptance checks after release to QA. The QA acceptance checks should cover all the basic functionality of the product.
I hope this helps.
