CALLING ALL SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS, SYSTEM ANALYSTS, SQ GURUS.. I NEED PROFESSIONAL HELP
let me start my message by telling you all how i envy your work so much. how i wish i could achieve what you've achieved as software gurus.
Anyway, im posting this message to ask a big technical favor. im currently employed as an instructor and i happen to be given the subject SOFTWARE ENGINEERING. im having a hard time delivering the subject to my students since i havent been into an actual software engineering environment which, im sure you guys have been. all i depend in my classroom discussions are the books that i read which i feel is not substantial enough.
i would want to know real testimonies about whats really going on in a software engineering environment from the real engineers. maybe you could send me inputs or better yet written documentation of what you go through in software development. from the problem analysis, the technical methods or tools that you use in designing, activities involved in system analysis and design, coding techniques, testing methods and tools, software quality assurance activities, up to the nature of software maintenance that you apply.
i seem to be asking to much but a reply would be greatly appreciated. hope to hear from you guys soon.... very soon

I actually waited to see if this got any responses.
Please make sure that you adhere to the forum guidelines. Read the topped thread and the Forums FAQ. Also the query you have submitted is a very very broad one. I doubt if anybody can address it. Instead you could list out in detail what facets of software engineering you want to know in detail, maybe list down a few contents type items.
One other thing, please also ensure that any data you demand or provide is available to all, as against moving it within your personal e-mail etc. There is a downloads section where in you can submit and download if you have to.
For now I am closing the thread.
