Code Coverage for web browser-served applications
We're testing an application served from a WebLogic app server to web browsers on networked machines. Several code coverage tools claim to provide coverage data on Java code, but what if the code is not on the local machine? If we install it on our app server, would we also have to access the application from there rather than other machines on the network?
Is there any tool that can provide the data we're looking for?
Re: Code Coverage for web browser-served applications
Well, using server logs you can see which server programs the client browsers accessed. But in order to test each logical branch in the server program, I think you'll have to execute it with a browser (or stub/driver) on the server, through the code coverage analysis software installed on the software.
