Our QA team has recently gotten QuickTest Pro and are looking for training. There will be 6-8 who need training, and we are leaning towards onsite training, but would consider offsite training.
Does anyone have experience with any training vendors that could provide a recommendation, or clue me into a particularly bad vendor. We are currently looking at Genilogix, anyone know anything about them?
Can you suggest some vendor for training on Mercury tools. I work for an MNC as QA Manager, in India, Bangalore. I want to move up in life. I have 6+ years in to Software testing and 4 years in to Hardware testing. Skills like ISO process, CMM process i am familar with. Can you also suggest me what type of training like advance or basic. I have worked on qtp 6.5 as well as on QTP 8.2. I am being paid very less for the work iam putting in. In My view, i should be getting atleast 6 to 7 lacs P.A( India Rupees).
David, one of the best in our area, is Checkpoint Technologies. They can be found at. This is one that Mercury occasionally contracts to do their testing. http://www.checkpointech.com
Joe, I can't imagine how much Mercury charged for your training. Checkpoint charges around half what Mercury does.
I really like http://www.tctcomputing.com.
They are rolling out a web-based live class that worked very well for me at about the same cost as going to a class somewhere but I avoided all the travel issues and costs. It is a live webex session where they send you the book in advanced and you use a machine there for the labs. She and I could share the machine as needed so when I got lost, she could get me back on track.
They offer classes in several cities periodically.
They offer the standard Mercury classes and the instructor I had was great (Pam Fusco).
