Could anyone please, give some opinion about the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board certification for a Certified Tester that I am considering to take?
know nothing of your context it is hard to provide a view on its relevance and appropriateness. It is a piece of paper that is recognised by a number of "software testing professional bodies" within different countries and demonstrates you can use their terminology in a manner they believe is appropriate from a set of multiple choice questions.
It may or may not help you in the role of a tester though it may have some bearing if other testers in an organisation you are in use this as a reference point or it is an item that is on recruiters ticklists to allow a cv to be passed on to clients.
If you do a search in the forum you will see this has been discussed a number of times including it's percieved relative merits to other certification, sometimes under the other certifications threads rather then its own though.
