Test Automation Certification
I'm looking forward to go for a Test Automation certification, but certification should focus more on testing techniques that are required to carry out implementation of test automation, rather than focussing on any tool.
i,e different types of automation framework, their architecture.
Please let me know certifications that focus on such topics.
Re: Test Automation Certification
There really isn't a general/generic certification in Test Automation (that I am aware of). It is typically done as a tool specific certification by the vendors (i.e., HP, IBM, etc.), and the entry level classes aren't all that in-depth or useful (well a little bit regarding tool functionality) in my opinion.
You're going to have to self-certify; meaning you have a lot of Google research to do and reading along with it. Sorry, this along with On-the-job training (OJT) is what you are going to need to do to learn this skill.
But by coming here to SQAForums you have made a good start as some of the best minds/experience in automation are posting on this board. Again, lots of reading but also lots of good nuggets of information to use.
