Re: Information regarding Certification in Testing

There are three certifications for manual testing (that i am aware of)

    - ISEB
    - ISTQB
    - CSTE

All there are same as they recognise that you have the basic knowledge of testing terminology. (No cretification can certify that you are able to use whatever knowledge you have. So I personally think that first you learn by experience and only then go for certification).

Re: Information regarding Certification in Testing

I found this book useful when studying for the ISEB (ISTQB) Foundation exam (which I passed last Friday, woohoo go me): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Software-Testing...5840&sr=1-1

The authors are all members of the ISEB examination panel and experienced setters, markers and training providers and know the syllabus in depth.

The British Computer Society also has abit on certification.
