Has anyone here ever taken Mercury's QuickTest training courses? If so, were they worthwhile? Myself and another QA professional at my company need some training on this product. We're wondering if the two day basic course will be worthwhile or if we should just skip ahead to the two day advanced course. Any feedback or insight would be appreciated!
Well, QTP weenies can probably give you better advice, but on the one hand your prior knowledge would prompt me to suggest the advanced class, but on the other the confusion about the repository might mandate the "starter" class.
Uhm, yeah, that probably warrants the starter class. But, Michael, unless you have budget problems, I strongly suggest taking the advanced course as well. That will be where you get the information to really kick start your automation efforts.
As a QTP Weenie I would recommend taking the tutorial that comes with QTP as it uses the MI flight booking (GUI & Web) systems. Once familiarised with QTP and the 2 apps do the advanced course as they also use the flight booking apps.
