After going through Jeanj's form on newbie, I have listed my questions below.. The questions might be silly but I want to start my career in QA..
1. Where do I start (some text knowledge or program).
2. What is the programming language to be known in specific or the tools like Winrunner etc.,
3. How do I go as an Entry level QA analyst.
4. Should I take up a degree in QA (I already hold a degree in Comp. Sci)
there are so much questions still to ask..
Learn testing terminologies in website and QA links given in this website, Try to download some evaluation test tool and learn the basics of it. Once when u start working as a tester you tend to learn more.
It is also usually far easier to make the switch in-house (with the company you already work for) if this is possible.
Unless training is part of the deal, the work from an employer taking on someone with zero experience is likely to be pretty poor.
