The practice test on the QAI web site was for the CSQA test - not the CSTE. There was a sample in the study guide, but it was taken out when the guide was updated a couple of years ago.
The study guide is a "must" for this certification - especially when it comes to the definitions of terms because you must use their (printed) definition, not what you may be used to in your job. A good example is the definitions for test case, test plan, test script. These have different meanings in practice where I work.
One word of advice: don't just memorize the guide though. You must be able to demonstrate your understanding of the principals and the skills necessary to carry them out. You cannot do this by just memorizing. See some of my other posts in this forum for more on this.
I suggest you join the Yahoo group -- there are several members from India who study for the certification together. They may be able to assist you further.
