Books or Resources for Learning C#
I'm an absolute beginner when it comes to programming, and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on books, or online resources that might help me learn C# so I can improve my automated tests. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Plural sight has many good videos in the .Net world.
If you have a base amount of programming knowledge, I also highly recommend http://www.dotnetperls.com/, they have lots of simple code examples of many commonly used concepts. This site got me ramped up on C# very quick.
If you're learning your first language. I'd probably recommend python. I think that language is easier to setup and deploy, with less configuration. Lots of beginner do badly with C# as their first language because of the confusing ecosystem (Visual Studio/Nuget/App.config/Assemblies/Project files, where python you mostly just deal with the pip/requirements.txt and their libraries tend not have have "enterprise" configuration options like the .Net world)
