Migrating from Software Development to SQA

    Hello

I have around 6 yrs of experience in software development and maintaince (Java/J2EE).
Planning to shift to Software Quality Assurance/Process Improvement.
I have no experience in quality assurance apart from some manual/unit testing.
Could you please inform me about courses/certifications available that would help me get an opening in this field?

    Thanks and regards
    Ashwin

Thanks Ashwini. No dought ISTQB is a good certification, but I feel it focuses entirely on software testing.
Would like to know about courses/certifications in Software Quality Assurance/Process Improvement areas that would help me get an opening in this field.

    Thanks and regards

Have you looked into the Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) Certification from QAI?

Since you have programming backgroud, go for Automation testing.

Your previous exp. will help you a lot.
