    TestLink: is it possible to upload test results?

    Hello all!
    I'd like to ask the following: is possible to upload the test results to TestLink?
    For example the following use case: I have to run some tests when network connection is not available. I can export required tests to Excel and then fill out the results.
    How to import the results to TestLink when the network will be available?

    Re: TestLink: is it possible to upload test results?

    Hi,

    Yes it is possible by using some testlink API. here an example you can find under your testlink server :

    #! /usr/bin/python
    """
    Testlink API Sample Python 2.x Client implementation
    """
    import xmlrpclib

    class TestlinkAPIClient:
    # substitute your server URL Here
    SERVER_URL = "http://localhost:8888/testlink/lib/api/xmlrpc.php"

    def __init__(self, devKey):
    self.server = xmlrpclib.Server(self.SERVER_URL)
    self.devKey = devKey

    def reportTCResult(self, tcid, tpid, status):
    data = {"devKey":self.devKey, "tcid":tcid, "tpid":tpid, "status":status}
    return self.server.tl.reportTCResult(data)

    def getInfo(self):
    return self.server.tl.about()
    def getProjects(self):
    return self.server.tl.getProjects(dict(devKey=self.devKey ))

    # substitute your Dev Key Here
    client = TestlinkAPIClient("26f77ac152f2622f097a894ada8ec36 8")
    # get info about the server
    print client.getInfo()
    print client.getProjects()
    # Substitute for tcid and tpid that apply to your project
    result = client.reportTCResult(1132, 56646, "p")
    # Typically you'd want to validate the result here and probably do something more useful with it
    print "reportTCResult result was: %s" %(result)

    All API are described here http://www.teamst.org/index.php/news...ort-via-xmlrpc

    There are different implementation in different language.

    Best Regards.

    Dominique.
