What should we do when a interviewer insults you unprovoked?
I have spoken to the HR manager of the large Indian s/w services company. He is not bothered and told me that he would take it up with his higher-ups.
I have resolved to contribute in some way to stop this menace.
The interviewer terminated the call immediately after insulting me. I haven't been able to speak to him. The HR pro who connected me to him would not get him on the phone again. Its been a week and I've been calling up the HR manager every morning. He gives insipid answers.
I have sent a mail to email@example.com...There has been no response. The company's website doesn't advertise anyother point of contact. Its a huge company.
I've promptly informed that I dont wish to push the discussion to join anyfurther. But I am keeping in touch to get a chance to speak to the interviewer and explain to his manager on his deeds.
It was a simple innocuous question which had an equally simple answer. He asked what size my team is. I answered him. He said I and my team are only for the namesake since its so small with choicest of words...
Is it inappropriate to say who the company was? We have a lot of members from India and I'm sure they'd like to know for themselves. So would I, actually. I run a small team and I actually find it more challenging because I DO have limited resources. I can't hire someone new at the drop of a hat and I can't draw on hundreds of other QA resources to pull them into the current project that is behind schedule.
Was this interviewer even involved in QA? Did he have the foggiest idea what he was talking about. Sounds pretty full of himself, to be honest.
9 out of 10 people I prove wrong agree that I'm right. The other person is my wife.
