    "manual" refers to those test procedures carried out without the aid of a tool.

    "automated" refers to those test procedures carried out with the aid of a tool.

    Does your term "test procedures" mean the description of test cases (with steps and expected results and so on)?

    If yes: In our company there's no difference in the way we describe automated or manual testcases. We usually design testcases with manual testing in mind and decide to automate them later.
    But when we decide to automate test cases there's a chance to redesign them in order to make automation easier. Still the way of describing them remains the same.
