I have an interview thats coming up, they need a manual tester for web based applications here are the requirements
Need a solid test engineer to work on their web based (C#, .net) applications.
Build/duplicate customer environments
Fast paced technical test position in a software development group testing software and documenting procedures: The testing is done primarily very large three tier web based applications (Written in .NET) running on Microsoft 2000, 2003, and XP. The back end is SQL server.
my questions are
1.how are web based applications tested(detailed xplaniton)
2.how to test 3 tier web based application?wht do i need to stdy,as much information as possible for these types of testing
3. what will the interviewer mostly focus on
4. how to and what are the best ways to build customer envirments
please remember this is for manual tester
I am fresh gradute will only 2 yrs of manual testing exp n i need this job desperately to pay my student loans [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Your questions are far too general for a detailed explanation. Read through http://www.sqaforums.com/postlist.ph...mp;Board=UBB18 to get a sense of all the things that can be done while testing web apps.
The interviewer will focus on your ability to do the job. If they need a "solid test engineer" and you are asking very basic "how are applications tested" questions, it unfortunately sounds like you may not be qualified. But you never know for sure until you get into the discussion.
