Iterative Model vs Continuos Integration
1. Can anyone please tell me the main difference between Iterative Model Vs Continuous Integration
Re: Iterative Model vs Continuos Integration
Was that an interview question?
What did you answer?
I would regard iterative models as doing the development in multiple stages - do a google for spiral model or something like that.
But these are seperate stages. We are talking about weeks/months for each stage.
And after this, you would probably do a regression test and so on.
And you would tag that version.
On the other hand, continous Integration would lead to frequent integration of new code - You start modifying/adding code in the morning, and before you go home in the evening, the code is checked in and and the version can still be built. A complete regression test is impossible after each day - at the very best, you would do a smoke test.
