I would like to know what are the most crucial areas of software
process training and consultancy needs for small software companies
(less than 50 persons)in India.
Such companies may not be able to go through the process of CMMI &
ISO certifications due to financial constraints.
Nevertheless they will benefit from short consulting sessions,
training programs and facilitations and interventions from

who are working in small companies in India on the following questions
1) What are the most common problems/issues they face in their day to

(i.e. type of engagement, interventions, training, consulting)
3)What in their opinion is a reasonable fees (per day) for a
consultant who can guide them in solving their process/project
Process improvement for large/small is one and the same. Before you jump into trainings and consultancy, i would suggest you to do the following as a part of Process improvement.
1.Do a Gap analysis in your existing process.(Quality, Testing, Dev process, Config etc)
2.Identify key weak areas that need focus at high priority.
3.Check for process model that maps to ur process.
4.Arrive at action plan.
5.Monitor and track progress, close with deadlines.
