Best Practices-Requirements Management
I am looking for Best Practices on managing the requirements using any Requirements Management tool(Requisitepro/ Doors etc) from the point of Business Analyst. I would appreciate for any valuable input on this.
Re: Best Practices-Requirements Management
For me, a business analyst is interested in the very top-level requirements, like business requirements.
You can, nicely use DOORS to capture those and to associate all kinds of attributes you want (like priority, stakeholder, deadline, ...).
After that, DOORS allows you to link your next level requirements (or tests) to your business requirements.
And you can establish just the traceability view you like. Meaning one, that shows exactly the information/attributes from the linked objects (whether requirements or test cases) in the way you like and following as many steps as you like in a column next to your business requirements. Furthermore, you can do all kind of filtering (even on the information coming from the linked objects).
