Separate Quality Assurance and Acceptance Testing groups
Our software company is currently set up with two separate testing groups: Quality Assurance and Acceptance Testing. We are in meetings now with management on the potential merge of the two groups to increase visibility to the AT group and to also streamline testing schedules. We have gone through several SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) meetings to help with this decision.
We, the testers, have been tasked to research how other companies are set up and what is working or not working for them. I would appreciate some good feedback on how is being done in other companies. Or if anyone knows of relevant websites, that will help also.
