Setting Quality Objectives
We are relatively a new s/w services firm working towards achieving ISO 9001:2000 certification. Could anybody tell me the possible examples of Quality objectives as per the latest version of standard ? Is it like setting an upper limit ,say for example, defects/ delivered LOC ?
Thanks in advance
Re: Setting Quality Objectives
I worked as a QA Manager for my last company which was Tick IT certified. The QA objectives were set against each line of our Quality Policy. For exampe if our policy said, 'Cater to the needs of the customer to gain their satisfaction', so in our objective was, 'Run 100% of designed test cases' and 'Run a separate cycle for Regresion testing'. If it had a line like 'Be up to mark to the latest standards etc', then 'Perform training on website testing' .. etc ....
Therefore it depends how u perceive each clause of ur company quality policy with ur department.
but one thing for sure, whatever ur objectives are set they should be in the measurable form and be definite. These objectives are revised every year.
