I have been using SQA forums for testing purposes, but this is the first time I am posting something on process improvement forum. I am planing to go for ITIL certification these days. Can you guys guide me that being a test engineer it would be beneficial for my career in terms of growth or financial benefits. How ITIL can be blended with QA/Test career.
Re: ITIL Career benifits for a QA/Test professional
Like most certificates it depends on what you want, if the positions you are going for require it then it is necessary. If you want to do it for your own self-improvement, then great that can show potential employers you are willing to go the extra bit and improve your skills on your own.
Within the US market I haven't seen it ever used or listed, I thought this was more of a UK Government process, and by a quick Wikipedia search I see its so, then you're probably limiting its use to the UK market or those companies that do work with the UK government.
