I plan to test web services in future , as a result of that i have downloaded the SoapUI open source version 1.7.5.
What i would like to know is what are the settings that i need to specify in order to run the mock service.
What i have done is the following
1)Imported a WSDL "CurrencyConverter" from the site weservicex.com.
2)Generated a Mock service from the WSDL
3)Started the Mock service
This displaya a message "Thu Aug 30 12:36:27 IST 2007:INFO:Started MockEngine$SoapUIConnector@0.0.0.0:8088"
But nothing happens after that . Do i need anything else in order to recieve the response.
Thanks for the Help
Re: prerequisites for running mock services in SaopUI
Our organization also got new project on web services..
I Don't what is the web services and SoapUI...
can You tell me something about this.
Should the regular manual testing is not carried out for this project?
Or adopt different process or method for this?
If you win you need not explain...But if you lose you should not be there to explain.
Re: prerequisites for running mock services in Sao
when you start a MockService in soapUI, it waits for a request from an external client..
You can use soapUI to send that request as well;
- right-click on the MockOperation that you want to call in the MockService editor or Navigator
- Select the "Open Request" option and select the first request
- The request editor will open for that request with the endpoint set to the local MockService.
- Submit it with the "Submit" button in the toolbar (top-left, green arrow).. be sure that your MockService is running.. and you should get a MockResponse back..
