Testing Rest Client
I am very new in Rest Client testing, someone gives me the tool from
basically, I have correct url and send request, and I am going to get 200 Status and response file,
there are lots of things to check in this response file, but this tool does not have "searching" tool to verify the content,
all I can do is copy/save the response file as xml file and use xmlspy to do searching
is there any better tool to validate the response ? can we automate this process?
Advanced RestClient and Postman are good for exploring the API. Ideally you'll want to use a unit test framework along with a rest client library to create automated tests that can run unsupervised.
In a Python shop, you might want to use NoseTest and Requests lib. So basically a unit test library with an http wrapper library to help parse out the requests/responses.
