Help Needed on GH Tester
In what scenario...the steps of a Test will fail and the Test as a whole would Pass....i mean ...i got a situation..in which some of the steps are getting failed ...but the Test is getting Passed...Wht might be the reason.
Re: Help Needed on GH Tester
By design any test step which fails will automatically fail the test case as a whole. From your description it sounds as if many steps are failing which normally cannot occur - the first failure stops the test case.
However there is functionality in the product - 'failure path', which allows a step to fail and the test to continue to execute. If you use a failure path then you also have to manually add a Fail step into the test at the point at which it should terminate and fail.
Example use of a failure path would be to subscribe to an execption queue during a test, if the subscribe times out that actually indicates there was no exceptions generated, so a failure path allows me to use a Pass action to pass the test even though one of the actions failed.
This may not be what you are seeing, but it would be my first point of investigation. I notice this thread is a little old; if this is still an issue, please raise a formal support call.
