    Selenium with windows 2000

    Hi,

    I am facing lot of problems while running test in windows 2000.
    Is this because selenium works better with Windows XP or selenium works fine with both 2000/XP.

    Anybody recomneds to run the tests in Windows XP only.

    Thanks,
    -MMU-

    Re: Selenium with windows 2000

    I am using Selenium on Windows XP and it is working fine, there is no problem at all.. Also, how do you know if you are facing any platform specific problem? If you tell us the problems you are facing, may be they are more generic and not specific to Windows 2000 or may be they are not even problems..

    Re: Selenium with windows 2000

    Problems which i am facing;
    1. Not able to invoke explorer with "*iexplore" command
    2. When running a test in "*iehta" and "*firefox" explorer "Stack overflow at line : 10410" error which i am not getting if i run the test in XP.
    Even if the stack overflow message displayed the test passes. I have installed "reg.exe".

    Any suggestion or idea will be helpful.

    Thanks,

    Well.. I have never encountered this so only suggestion would be to isolate the problem and send an email to openqa guys.. It's opens source so you can not demand the fix, just keep an eye on the new versions of Selenium if you think defect is in Selenium..
