Auto export test results
I am new to Selenium. I have done some research and learnt the usage of tool. I have experience on other tools but not selenium.
My understanding is that selenium IDE, Selenium webdriver can be used to automated.
I have a scenario to record scripts and schedule them to run few times a day and want results to be saved to a excel or csv or may be even a txt file so that at the end of the day someone can analyse these results. Our scenario are simple and straightforward. I have learned on scheduling these scripts in testsuit but unable to find a way to autosave or export these results by giving them a logical name.
If any of you have done it in the past or are familiar in doing this, please let me know if this can be done. I am more keen on using IDE rather than webdriver as i don't have good knowledge on java script.
your assistance is much appreciated and thanks in advance
Perhaps this might work, https://github.com/vmi/selenese-runner-java
found that by doing a google search using "Selenium IDE CLI"
"CLI" - Command Line Interface, is a great search term to use when trying to find ways to integrate things into a batch or shell script. Most of the time, a CLI runner will either output to console, which you can pipe to a file, or outputs a file.
Thanks a lot, i will give this a try
