Why cssSelector is the recommended one over all the others?
It use to be ID and CSS selectors were the fastest. They still are, but xpath is catching up. That's because ID and CSS are indexed by the browser.

CSS are generally used to describe element's purpose for a CSS stylist to style. So in a way they are a contract between the web developer and a branding/theming artist.
Name is actually a pretty good one to use. But does not have the speed as CSS selectors. But in terms of stability, it is one of the more solid ones since that acts as a contract between the front end and the backend.
