Is there a Selenium RC equivalent to WebDriver "driver.findElement"???
Doesn't seem to be a "selenium.findElement" or anything like it. Trying to set a web element as an object in my code.
Thanks in advance,
you can use other way to recognize an element in selenium RC like tag element, xpath , some property that associate to the element.
Selenium RC has a different interface syntax.
Where webdriver's interface is organized by WebElements in an objected oriented way
webelement = Driver.findElement(By.locator)
RC's interface is or organized by the Page instance itself. So you're doing the findBy and the action in 1 call each time.
if you want to perform mappings, or perform multiple actions on the same element, you tend to just store the locator in some string, and just keep reusing that string.
String xpath = "xpath=//div[@id='myElement']"
