How to run selenium test case in two different nodes?
Actually I need to run my single selenium test case in two different nodes using FIREFOX browser (selenium grid) , I have started my hub using below command
java -jar selenium-server-standalone-2.32.0.jar -role hub
started two Nodes with two different port nos :
java -jar selenium-server-standalone-2.32.0.jar -role webdriver -hub http://localhost:4444/grid/register -port 7575 -browser browserName=firefox,version=18,platform=WINDOWS
java -jar selenium-server-standalone-2.32.0.jar -role webdriver -hub http://localhost:4444/grid/register -port 8585 -browser browserName=firefox,version=18,platform=WINDOWS
But when i execute my test case i can view my execution only in one node other node remains still, it shows Done :/status but no execution has taken place
While I'm trying to run 2 test case with above mentioned two nodes in active state, then one test case is been executed in one node and second test case is been executed in another node ..
Is it possible to execute the two test case in each node ...
can u please help out to solve this problem
thanks in advance
Okie, I have been digging into this for past few days and what I have found is, that Grid will only distribute your test. I may be wrong in saying that, but grid will not execute a same script on multiple browser. What you would need to do is to launch you test case twice and then it will run the instance of the same test. So the behavior you are seeing is absolutely fine.
Test need to run on multiple node
I guess you got your answer on other forum , for sake of completion of this thread

Grid is made to distribute load and it distribute instead of rerun test, other grid configuration can manage
grid_configuration.yml file located at the root of Selenium Grid installation directory on the machine where the Hub is running.
