I am working with Eclipse 3.5.1 and maven 2. I have Junit 4.0 installed. I followed the instructions on http://testng.org/doc/download.html and have installed TestNG, but not seeing it in the Run ->Run as menu or the Window -> Show View -> Other -> expand Java. I know I have it installed because when I go to Help -> Software Updates -> Manage Configuration, I see TestNG there with a red x on it. When I click on properties for TestNG and go to Status I see that the feature is not configured properly. Reason:No plug-in: "org.testng.eclipse" included at runtime. Any ideas???
I have tried that. I have put the file org.testng.eclipse_18.104.22.16820825_1316.jar in my plugins folder and restarted eclipse several times and no dice. I am using eclipse 3.5.1. Does that make a difference? Is there anything else I need to do?
I went to my project and added it to the Java Build path. I then closed eclipse and got back in. But still no dice. Is the Java Build path the same as the Eclipse Build path? I am attaching a screenshot.
Thank you for all your help Ganesh! This issue had to do with the way eclipse was configured. Our company keeps all our dev tools in Perforce where I got the eclipse I am using. I talked to one of the software architects and it turns out the eclispe that I installed from Perforce is configured not to allow any other installs. I downloaded a new install of eclipe yesterday directly from the eclipse site and was easily able to install TestNG through the Install Software options.
