Selenium rc using python
Can any of you please post a detailed step by step guide to install selenium rc server along with python.
P.s I have tried the steps in the seleniumhq website and I guess I may be making a mistake in setting the env variables or something which I am not aware of.
Re: Selenium rc using python
yea, unfortunately, the documentation is scattered in various places.
firstly.. some questions for you so you can get some help...
1. do you really want Selenium-RC server? (that is the classic selenium 1 server. It has been renamed to Selenium Server in selenium 2). So you if you want the latest, "Selenium Server" is what you are looking for. Also, WebDriver is the new API in selenium2. You can use webdriver on its own (without using the server at all), or you can use it along with the server in a remote/grid setup.
2. What Operating System are you using? setting up the python bindings is slightly different between windows, linux, mac, etc.
3. how far along did you get? do you have python installed on your system and working correctly, or do you need help there as well?
So let us know what you are trying to do, and your setup info. Please try to provide clear details, so someone can help.
