    Selecting Items from a list box

    I'm trying to select a item from a combobox and I want to create a parameter for it but I don't see how too. Can anyone offer some advice. The code I have from Selenium is:

    selenium.open("/tiwipro/app/notifications/");
    selenium.click("//table[@id='grid_nav_group_box']/tbody/tr/td[2]/span/div/img");
    selenium.click("//div[4]/div[7]");
    selenium.click("//table[@id='grid_nav_group_box']/tbody/tr/td[2]/span/div/img");
    selenium.click("//div[21]");

    Not sure what you are trying to do. What parameter?

    Have you tried getSelectedValue or getSelectedLabel?

    I would like to read data from a input file and select that item from a list box. I will look at the to selenium functions you spoke of.

    Sorry, misunderstood you the first time, now I understand. Use:

    selenium.select("//select[contains(@id,'somevalue')", yourParameterVariable);

    should work with some xml tweaking, just remember it is a select and not an input.
