If your sessionid is stored in a Cookie you can get the info with getCookieByName() at least with the java API. I use it to download some files in a HTTPunit session with the same session id in the middle of my selenium tests.
Sadly my question is more basic and low tech. I don't mind going to the cmd and getting the session id with my copy and paste magic.
What I don't know how to do (and this is embarassing) is how to reconnect using this session id, such that I can launch a shell (in python) and use the selenium object to'
try new things. Python by the way shines when it comes to this.
So to recap a long script gets my browser in a state I need and I want to fiddle around with a reconnected session:
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
from selenium import selenium
sel = selenium("localhost", 4444,"*chrome","urlx")
Is all I know to do .. on the constructor .. if you could
explain to me how I might reconnect to the session, in which my script has started (I don't tear them down .. I have a cleanup routine for that in subsequent scripts) ..
If I find out I will post it.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!
