I AM TESTING A JAVA APPLICATION FOR RETIREMENT SOLUTIONS.
WHILE IAM RECORDING THE FUNCTIONALITY USING SELENIUM IDE, THE POP-UPS WINDOWS ARE NOT RECOGNIZED.
THE POP-UPS ARE MODAL/STANDARD TYPE. AFTER CLICK ON A ACTION BUTTON WHICH DISPLAYS A POP-UP, THAT POP-UP IS NOT RECOGNIZED BY THE TOOL AND IT STOPS ANY FURTHER ACTION.
Hi Velivela, as far as I am aware Selenium currently doesn't recognise modal dialogs.
I had a similar issue when using StoryTestIQ (a tool that has a Selenium engine) to test an MSCRM Dynamics customisation which uses many modal popups.
I came up with a workaround for the problem using the executeProcess command that called a script written in AutoIt3. I called the external process immediately prior to the Selenium step that created the popup, so that it would manage the popup and allow the Selenium engine to resume normal behaviour.
Not sure if you can do exactly the same thing with the IDE as it's been awhile since using it, but it is worth a look.
