I am a newbie to Selenium, presently given a task to do a Proof of Concept on Selenium for a Web application.
I came to know that there are 4 different tools available in Selenium such as IDE, Core, RC & Grid.
*** The Application Under Test is a Web application that supports only Internet Explorer. Hence I am unable to use IDE, even to record the objects & actions.
*** The Web Application under test is built using .NET framework.
a) How can we record the test in IE?
b) Which tool best suites the requirement?
c) How can we identify the different properties of specific Objects (as in the case of Robot/QTP)?
Thanks in advance!
Re: Selenium - for Internet Explorer application
Sorry, for an incomplete subject! I missed it.
Re: Selenium -
As of now I don't think there is any selenium IDE available that records from the IE. So you can't use record.
But yeah you can manual write down the test cases which is not as harder as you might think.
About other tools there are planty of .. watir, QTP, silk, badboy. just use your favorite search engine ( mine is Google ) to find out which suits you better.
