I use to do support for the product and the main thing to know is that it still does not support an external schema. So as long as the schema is within the WSDL you will be able to record the values for the assessment using the SOAP editor and run the automated scan.
Othewise, your scan will run and complete in less than one minute.
"According to the developer, there are known issues in WebInspect 8 and its SOAP Editor with regard to WSDLs that include a XSD file containing complex data types. This will be addressed in a future release."
has anybody out there come across this?
is this true for the interrogation of published services or just when using a file?
using SOAP UI I can't load in the WSDL with associated XSD but when using a URL for the deployed service all is fine
