I am working with a .Net application and trying to do a data driven test but QA Wizard Pro doesnt seem to recognize spin button controls and also drop down date pickers. I am not sure if there is .net plugin out there that I could install and fix this. How do I get a workaround this? Somebody please help.
I am quite new to QA Wizard so directly started working with QAW Pro so not sure if Java was supported in the past. But I tried using it on a .Net application. I work in an insurance firm and the application is VB6 and also has some .Net components. But the applications has lot of data grids with policies, deductibles and agent info and is date driven. Only then did I realise that a data grid is not supported by QAW Pro. This makes the tool really useless for us if it cannot retrieve values from a grid or recognise date pickers. So the tool now just sits out there and nobody uses it. So I totally understand your frustration. I think the tool has a user friendly interface but it leaves a lot to be desired from it.
I totally agree about the interface. It is quite possibly the most user friendly interface that you will find. In general, I believe that just about anyone would be able to pick this up and use it. However, it just seems like they dropped the ball on the functional side. I don't understand how the solution came out half-baked like this.
9 out of 10 people I prove wrong agree that I'm right. The other person is my wife.
....pick it up and use it for what? The 4.0 interface was superb and while the Pro product may attempt to come close to the 4.0 UI it comes up way short. But the actual functionality leaves me stunned as to how much of a step backwards I've taken with this product. Your characterization of the solution as 'half-baked' is a spot on.
