Code optimization tool
Has anybody worked on code optimization tool like JProbe(Qwest),Devpartner(Compuware) or any other tool?
Please get back to me, if anybody has used code optimization tool.
Re: Code optimization tool
i worked with DevPartner. There are many edition of DevPartner for different languages.A DevPartner Edition for Java or C++/VB and .Net
What you would like to know? JProbe i never try before. I think your are interested in Java code optimization.
Here are some features that JProbe not have:
-Complete top-to-bottom profiling of Java interpreted code, JIT-compiled Java code, native methods called from Java, JVM code, and system (Win32) code executed on behalf of your Java program.
-Multi-tier, Multi-system analysis and debugging concurrently
§ Note: Sitraka will now claim to have this capability with PerformaSure. But that tool is all high level information only; like Distributed Analyzer. JProbe, itself, does not have the ability to view multi-tiers (like client, web server and app server on the same desktop concurrently) or multi-system.
-Quantum technology - produces consistently accurate performance data regardless of system loading
-Context sensitive UI and drill down to traverse information and detailed analysis is a huge plus for DevPartner.
§ User can decide what information to analyze in the order they wish; not dictated by predefined UI screen flows.
§ User can configure all views to best suite their needs and skills for each particular problem
§ All data and guidance is available from any point in the product; no traversing through screens
-In-line and on-line help with expert guidance to the resolutions; not just a set of raw data for engineers to sift through
-Cross-language support. DevPartner can profile and present data on component-based programs written in any combination of Java, VC++, and VB. Very cool.
§ Separated as a sales item with DPJ 3.0, the DevPartner family can still offer much broader language and technology support than can Sitraka
-Web and Java architected, DevPartner Java Edition is the use anywhere from anywhere choice.
§ Across LAN/WAN segments & firewalls with HTTP access enabled. Eliminates security risks associated with traditional fat client, sockets-based tools.
§ A full history and navigation capability familiar to everyone today that eliminates the drill down/drill up screen sequencing that JProbe imposes.
Hope the information are needfull.
