I'd like to know the tools i can use for unit testing Java code.
I know Junit but there certainly are other ones. If you could give to me a list of tools, and if u give me a little comparison of the specifications and best environment (black, white box, regression, static, coverage, functional testing,…) of the tools I'll be grateful.
junit is a greate tool, but i prefer pyunit,
(http://pyunit.sourceforge.net), it's a python
unit test frame work which apply the same design
with junit. as python is a simple language,
pyunit is more effective than junit.
to test java application with pyunit, you need jython(jython.sourceforge.net, or www.jython.org).
it's a java version python.
At last, i have to say that junit is more powerful, especialy its various extentions(www.junit.org), but in most instance, pyunit
You can also look at Parasoft's Jtest. It does automatic test case generation and provides the test cases it creates to you in Junit format. It also gives you coverage information and performs static analysis with an auto-fix feature that can repair coding standard violations for you.
