Java Robot Issue -- Any suggestions?
I have a Java Table problem with Robot. In one of the java Table cells we add a custom object without casting it to a string. When the Table displays the object it seems that bu default it calls the toStrign() method on it. The Object's toString() method has been overriddent to display some text. Robot is unable to identify this text (i think because the object was not added as a string). Does any one have any ideas on how to capture this data. Attached are the jar files to reproduce this
unzip the file and on comman line say
java -cp . Test
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Re: Java Robot Issue -- Any suggestions?
can you please provide some more information?
Which Robot do you mean? java.awt.Robot from the JDK?
If yes, what are you doing exactly?
If no, then this is a principle problem of many application that they can only deal with Swing and/or AWT containers as long they are simple. Your example is already a "complex" one. In such a case you need to look for sophisticated tools like Silk.
