Free OS Image tool
I want to do performance test and for that we need one test case to run on same machine but several time (let say 3 times) to average out performance time.
But every time we need to run it on fresh machine. We are using Macrium for trial purpose to take and restore OS image.
Is there any other tool to do the same using command line and free + reliable ?
I want to automate this entire process. like below..
1) Restore fresh OS image
2) Run Test steps on fresh image
3) Take performance time for step 2
4) Restore fresh OS image
Repeat above steps for 3 times to average out performance time.
We are using python scripting for Automation.

Thanks David Lai.
It is not useful for me as it works on VMs only. But for us we need actual hardware with multiple windows OS installed on different hard-drives.
Our developers says no to VMs
Perhaps chef, https://www.chef.io/chef/

Buy a HDD/SSD then install multiple OSs as you want. Every time you want to run test on target hardware environment, plug the HDD/SSD to that machine then run the test.
Maybe you also need to install DeepFreeze or sth like that to restore the OSs after running.
