How to verify if content exists in the file?
In VBScript,I am using File scripting object functions to append the content in a text file.Before that i need to verify if the content is already exists in the file or not.
Can some one help me on this?
Thanks in Advance.
Re: How to verify if content exists in the file?
I suggest as under:
you will have to read file line by line & verify each line with content.
Algorithm will be as under:
read the file line by line & check for match;
If (content doesn't exist)
abort the script;
I don't know VB so can't tell you in VB specific terms.
