Lost: vb6 app need to launch expand treeview
I have looked around but cant seem to find anything helpful
I know how to launch the app with vbscript but i cant for the life of me remember how to access the treeview and expand it.
my problem im not using any testing tools as there is no budget. i just need to open a legacy vb6 app expand the tree view and get the value of a node save it to a file that will be read and loaded in to my tests to verify in the newer .net app
Links to info on any of this would help greatly.
Re: Lost: vb6 app need to launch expand treeview
Not sure if I understand what you are trying to do, but do you use SendKeys in VBScript? If that's the case, after selecting the node, send Right key or plus sign. That should expand the tree.
By the way, if you have many GUI screens like this, why don't try something like AutoIT? It is free and very good. But if you need to send only couple of key strokes, then VBScript should do.
