    Re: Test Point Matrix

I've not heard of such a thing. But then again I have led a very sheltered life.

    1. What are some additional details surrounding your question?

    2. Is this being confused with some common ones such as
    2.1 Test coverage matrix, or
    2.2 Traceability matrix, or
2.3 Requirements cross-reference verification matrix, or
    2.4 Phase/level qualification matrix, or
2.5 The Matrix, starring Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving, and Laurence Fishburne?

    Re: Test Point Matrix

    Thanks Jake.
I will give my understanding of a test point matrix. I have been given this task to prepare one but i m not satisfied with this concept. I googled it but got nothing. I hope we ,over here, are using different terminologies. Read the description below and tell me if there is another name for a test point matrix -
My understanding of a test point matrix is that it just gives us all the test points - "things to be tested". This matrix is developed from the requirements directly.

The difference between a test case and a test point is that we do not go into specifics when dealing with a test point. while For test case we specify the data input, expected output etc. For a test point we just specify the functionality. The benefit of a test point is just to "Tell" our customers the functionalities we have tested (within different scenarios).
There relationship between a test point and a test case is N to N.

    Re: Test Point Matrix

It seems that you are referring to items 2.1 and 2.2 then? Have a look at this matrix.
