Test run duration
I am testing one jsp application running on Tomcat webserver using webload. I have implemented transaction points in my scripts and i am getting response time of each of those transactions.
But my confusion here is what should be the idle time/duration (total time in minutes) that the load session should run for optimum results?
Re: Test run duration
A transaction is any request sent to your webserver including requests for images, frames, etc. For example, if you have an html page with 3 images in it, this will count as 4 transactions(1 for the page itself, and 1 for each image, equaling a total of 4).
//The time it takes for a transaction to complete includes the time it takes to establish a connection to the server(including the TCP/IP 'ok'), plus the time it takes to tell the server what we want to get, plus the time it takes for the server to respond to the request, plus the time it takes for Webload to process what the servers response is.
