Can I use PMM to connect to a remote IIS server?
Hi, I am using WebLoad Open Source 8.0.5 and I'm trying to figure out if I can use the Performance Monitor to connect to a remote IIS web server using the server's IP address. In the past I have always used WebLoad against the local servers on our network, so I never had problems with the PMM. But when I plug in the IP address of the remote server into the PMM, I get this error:
Failed to connect to the host x.x.x.x
The connection attempt was made via NT technology.
I don't have any problem connecting to the server through Remote Desktop, so there aren't any network issues. I thought PMM might ask me for a login when I try to connect to the server, but it doesn't prompt me for one.
So, how do I configure the PMM so I can connect to my remote web server?
Re: Can I use PMM to connect to a remote IIS server?
when you coneect to your server for the first time it is asking for the authentication. so if you are trying to connect it through PMM it is not able to authenticate itself. so try out the below approach which might works.
Click on Start>Run
Enter your IP address \\x.x.x.x
pop-up will open which will ask your Domain\UserID & Password.
Enter the details and chk that it should open the explore window.
then you try to connect through the PMM this time your system should allow you to connect.
let me know if it is not working....
