I am a newbie to Load Testing & webLOAD. My requirement is to find the maximum number of users (Capacity) that the AUT can handle. Currently, I am trying to find the feasibility of different Open Source tools such as JMeter, webLOAD & openSTA that can suit the requirement.
The AUT is a web application that can be accessible only through VPN.
I tried to record the actions in the AUT after connecting to the VPN, and nothing got recorded. I don't know what could be the reason for the issue.
Where as, when I tried to record actions in any other site say www.google.com, when not connected to the VPN, the issue does not exist.
Please let me know how to overcome this issue; will webLOAD supports VPN accessibility? how?; is there any other alternate tool that can be used for this requirement.
Re: ~WebLOAD - Web application accessible via VPN~
In IE, each VPN connection has separate proxy settings. WebLOAD is not changing VPN connection setting automatically. You must set the proxy settings manually.
Before the recording, open IE, go to Internet Options->Connections tab and select your VPN connection from the list. Press on Settings button and next follow the ThirumoorthyC instructions above. I believe this will solve the problem.
Mind to clear those settings after you finished recording, otherwise you won't be able to access your VPN site via IE again.
