Anyone have any experience or feedback about Radview WebFT?

I am currently evaluating Mercury Winrunner and Radview WebFT as automated test tools for a web based document management system.

The eventual choice will be used mainly for test capture and playback by a relatively non-technical tester.

Has anyone used Radview WebFT? Your thoughts please?.....

    fibergod,

I don't know how far you've gotten, but I'm in a similar boat in figuring out what to use for our web-application. I recently saw a demo of the webFT 2.0 beta product and I'm very impressed with is ease of use and java scripting. More to come.

For a non-technical tester I would definitely suggest QA wizard from www.seapine.com. I have evaluated it and my only critisim of it is that it was targeted at non-technical users, rather than programmers who want to write a bit of code.

Re: Anyone have any experience or feedback about Radview WebFT?

I am evaluating WebFT beta version right now. I have not used WinRunner, but have quite a bit of experience with Robot. WebFT seems like it would be great for a non technical person because it automates things like inputing data from a datafile and using global variables. Right now the tool is missing the ability to run and report on a group (suite) of tests, but the Radview guys assure me that the functionality will be ini the next release. Also, adding verification points is much easier than in Robot, and you don't have to decide what to verify when you record the script. You can go back later and add/remove things you want to test. I am really starting to love this tool. We recently purchased WebLOAD, and are excited about the fact that you could use the same script in both tools.
